I am having fun working on tiny canvases. These and others will be available at the Moycullen Craft Fair, which takes place this Sunday, December 1st, from 1pm until 6pm in Áras Uilinn and the Halla Mór. We will also be selling the Jumbo book (see last post) and lots of knitted, crocheted and sewn items made by my sister, my friend Ashla from the NUI Galway Knit and Crochet Group and myself.

Jumbo Wants to be a Hippo is the first book in a trilogy written by Lionel Gallagher and illustrated by me. Conor Gallagher did the design and put it all together and added the lovely subtle colour to my drawings, 'colour-coding' the different animals. This collaboration has been so much fun. Thank you to everyone who has bought the book so far; we really appreciate your support. I have copies to sell here in Galway (price: 7,50 euro); e-mail me if you would like to purchase a book. A view of the back of the Chapel of St. Columbanus and garden on the NUI Galway campus. I enjoyed working on this commission - the underpainting of bright pink acrylic (done before I knew what I was going to paint) lent itself to being turned into the light inside the stained glass windows.
