This collaborative project (part self-help, part creativity notebook, part memoir, written by Irma Mento and Pilar Alderete-Diez and illustrated by me) is now out in book form. More information to follow!

These two paintings, which were done in preparation for illustrations for a forthcoming children's book, are now available in our Etsy shop. They are in acrylics, which were also used for the final illustrations, but for the book we decided to go with a flatter, blockier style.
I have added two more Jumbo drawings to our Etsy shop. Somehow more than a year has passed since my sister and I opened it, and we still haven't really announced it yet!
Finally putting these into book form years after the idea was hatched (a collaboration with the one and only Rab Swannock Fulton). Watch this space!
Dagmar and I have another joint exhibition, this time in the Clifden Arts Festival. It's about the relationship between image and text. We are beside the tourist office, where Gannon Sports used to be. The exhibition will run until September 27. Opening times: 3-7pm weekends; Monday & Wednesday 2-5pm, Tuesday 2-4.30pm; Thursday: closed. Huge thanks to John Durning for having us, Paul Callanan for the great design, and to both of them for all their help!
I am putting the finishing touches to the illustrations for the children's book by Amie Nolan Ryan. This has been such a lovely project to work on. The book will be hardcover, so we are playing around with ideas for the endpaper, a detail I am obsessed with. We cannot wait to see the end result! Floating away for this year's festival. The programme launch is on Monday, 26 January, at 1pm in the Cube, Áras na Mac Léinn, NUI Galway. All welcome!
A book about elephants, giraffes and zebras (Leopold the cat will be the hero of his own picture book one day). This is a lovely story with a message about belonging, identity and friendship. Written by Lionel Gallagher, illustrated by me. Design and layout by Conor Gallagher. Please contact me if you would like to buy a copy for €7,50 (or buy this book together with Jumbo Wants to be a Hippo for only €13). If you like yoga and/or colourful illustrations, you'll love this book, Little Gurus - yoga beautifully illustrated by Olaf Hajek.
Thank you, Sibylle and Timo! |
